Pinotage is South Africa’s trump card grape – with a distinctive, spicy coffee aroma and rich berry notes. Made by champion Bruce Jack, a former Winemaker of the Year, this is a fresh, fruity style with juicy plum and a touch of tobacco from the oak.

The Wine
Bruce Jack is one of the most passionate, innovative and contagiously enthusiastic winemakers in the world. No wonder his wines are always so thrilling to taste. He graduated from Australia’s top wine college, then travelled the world perfecting his skills, before returning to the Cape to set up on his own. Since then he’s been awarded South Africa’s ‘Winemaker of the Year’ and a few years back his cellar scooped ‘Winery of the Year’. Bruce believes in handcrafted wines that capture the essence of his beloved country. Few styles do that better than Pinotage, a uniquely South African grape that delivers a bold wine with generous plummy flavour. Velvety and fruity, this red makes a great partner to grilled lamb or a warming casserole.

Very enjoyable. Lovely, fruity and smoky nose, with peppery, dark fruit flavours
