Wine FAQs
Kew Series Red
Everything is done by hand – or donkey – in the vineyards and the winery behind this velvety Italian red. A blend of native Italian red varieties including Ancellota – the darkest of the Italian grapes – produces a super smooth, deep purple wine full of ripe juicy blackberry, plum and cherry flavours. Make like the locals and enjoy it with homemade tortellini.
Kew Series White
Made by a small family producer from Sicily, this is bright and zingy white bursts with citrus, ripe stone fruits and delicate floral notes. It showcases the island’s most prized indigenous grape – Carricante. An ancient variety that’s been grown on the slopes of Mount Etna for a thousand years! As at home as a solo glass with friends as it is with light creamy pasta, fish and seafood.
Kew Series Fizz
An exciting and very rare white sparkling wine from Moldova, unusually made entirely from the red Cabernet Sauvignon grape. The biting wind that blows over the vineyards of Cimisla gives this fizz a lovely aromatic freshness with a soft mousse, white peach and citrus notes. Easy drinking yet sophisticated, it’s delicious as an aperitif and makes a wonderful celebration gift.
Kew series rosé
We're delighted to have joined forces with the internationally respected Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, home to the largest living plant collection on the planet. Together we've produced a small range of wines that champion forgotten grape varieties and biodiversity, working with nature to create beautiful things. Here we present a fabulous sparkling rosé wine from the Loire Valley made by winemaker Pierre-Jean Sauvion. He’s determined to put the Loire at the forefront of sustainability, encouraging biodiversity of the flora and fauna. This Crémant comprises Cabernet Franc with a splash of Grolleau. A delicate pink fizz with a fine mousse and fresh crunchy red fruit and citrus character. Chilled down, it’s ideal to enjoy in a sunny garden
