The Wine
Since its start in 2002 RedHeads has clocked up an impressive array of awards. Four Trophies, 92 Golds and numerous scores over 90 from the most exacting critics. The RedHeads ‘movement’ began in McLaren Vale, made its mark, and then moved on to the Barossa to prove that a tiny winemaking studio could surpass the quality of some of the Barossa’s most prestigious cellars. RedHeads sources grapes from a network of terrific growers, very much part of the team, to make an array of exciting wines. MC1R, the colour determinant part of DNA, represents the very heart of their winemaking. Using the exotic, ripe flavours of Chardonnay, Viognier and Roussanne, underscored by cool climate Adelaide Hills freshness, this is a beautifully balanced white.
