Haltinger Pinot Noir 2014
Germany is the third largest producer of Pinot Noir, and with wine of this quality it’s no wonder! It grows particularly well in Baden as you'll taste in this silky textured, mellow 2014 with its classic spicy, mellow red berry and cherry character.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
This superb 2014 shows clearly that Pinot Noir from Baden can age just as well as wines from Burgundy. It comes from the Haltinger cellar, which was founded in 1936 and in 2014 was awarded Baden Winery of the Year. It's a small cooperative, intent on quality. Baden is the heartland of Germany’s greatest Pinot Noir. The region excels with this grape (known in Germany as Spatburgunder) thanks to its southerly location and warmer temperatures. It still remains a delicate wine, so no heavy weight, seducing you with delicate complexity, rather than hefty punch. Bottled without filtration for maximum body and flavour, it’s best decanted before serving, in case of sediment. Enjoy with duck confit, creamy sauced sweetbreads or a mushroom croustade.
