The Wine
Yann Chave is hot property. His wines are listed by many top Michelin-starred French chefs, Bocuse, Ducasse and Troisgros among them. Rhone’s 2022 vintage was not without its challenges – heat and drought – but confounded critics by producing exceptional wines. Many put that down to the heavy rains of the preceding autumn. Yann Chave adheres to organic principles through all his vineyards, taking the Syrah grapes for this exceptional red from three plots in Crozes Hermitage - La Roche de Glun, Mercurol and Pont de l'Isère. Together these express the vintage, the terroir and the maker. Wild yeast fermentation with ageing in vat, this is a very pure red with black fruits and delicate sweet violet notes. Open early or cellar.

A fine, but delicate wine. Lovely raspberry and herbal layers. This wine grows on you with each sip!
