The Story Behind the Bottle
Cleanskins are an Aussie peculiarity that allows top wineries to shift great parcels of wine with minimal labelling (hence the cleanskin) and us to secure you great deals. Our Buyer leapt at the chance of reserving this premium red. Nearly all the fruit is Cabernet Sauvignon taken from a grower who immaculately tends his vineyards in the premium Limestone coast, most notably in Coonawarra and Wrattonbully. These cooler areas lend real finesse and depth to the wine, while a small portion of McLaren Vale Shiraz adds warm raspberry spice. These vats seem to complement each other perfectly and are flattered by a gentle touch of oak. Full flavoured with excellent structure and length, this red will measure up well next to roast lamb or beef.
