From a pioneering Sicilian cellar comes this zesty Vermentino – all crisp citrus, juicy pear and sun-ripened charm. Named for the winemaker’s grandfather, one of 68 who founded the co-op in 1958, it’s a vibrant sip of Sicilian sunshine.

The Wine
In 1958, 68 winemakers from the town of Menfi in Sicily signed a pact to preserve the island's vineyards and protect their way of life. 60+ years later, this cooperative has not only succeeded in producing some of the best wines in Sicily ... it’s also been named 'Winery of the Year' twice. This is their Vermentino – the classy (and pricey) white grape of Sardinia that also excels in Sicilian sunshine. Terra di Nonno Vermentino is a fitting tribute to winemaker Andrea Palermo's grandfather, one of the 68 to sign the original pact, using grapes from the same vineyards his Nonno once tended. Terra di Nonno (‘Grandpa’s Land’) is full of pear, apple and plenty of zesty citrus flavour. Top solo – great with seafood.
