The Wine
The Barton family have been connected to Bordeaux for centuries. It started when Thomas Barton left his native Ireland in 1722 to settle there. He established a wine merchant on the city's Chartrons Quay. Business was prosperous and he soon became one of the most powerful wine shippers of Bordeaux. Six generations later, Anthony Barton arrived in France from Ireland, aged 21. He joined the family wine business, then set up Les Fins Vins de Barton in 1968. His daughter Lilian runs it today. They are proud to present the very best of Bordeaux at affordable prices. Enjoy this silky, mature Saint-Julien, with seven years’ age. It shows maturity and complexity, with ripe fruit and depth and will benefit from a short time in a decanter.
