Siren Craft is a small outfit based in West Berkshire with a clear, stated aim: to arouse people’s curiosity in the endless flavour possibilities of beer. They believe it can be enjoyed in the same way as fine wine. The guys use up to eight times as many ingredients as you find in standard, large-production beer and make their brews in small batches to keep everything fresh. They also take a slow, artisanal approach to ttheir work, saying it'll be ready when it’s time and not because it’s due out the door. Santo is Siren’s tasty dry-hopped lager, brimming with citrus and bright fruit, with a satisfying weight and refreshing bitter finish. It uses five hops – Magnum, Amarillo, Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe – with a touch of oats with the barley.
