Bright, silky Cabernet from Argentina’s beautiful Patagonia. It’s crafted by one of the region’s leading estates – a family winery that has won many Golds since its foundation in 2001. A wonderfully elegant red with peppery, ripe, red fruit.

The Wine
This silky Cabernet has gathered many Golds over the vintages. It’s from Argentina’s most southerly wine-producing region, remote Patagonia. It has ideal conditions for vines: light stony soils, clear sunlight and plentiful water, while biting winds result in small, thick-skinned berries. Schroeder is one of the region’s most prominent estates, with 140 hectares of vines. The Schroeder family arrived in Argentina in the 1920s, emigrating from a Germany devastated by World War I. But it was not until 2001 that Hermann and Graciela Schroeder bought their property in Patagonia and began planting vines. Since then they’ve won many awards, including ‘Winery of the Year’. Supple, ripe and appealing, partner this Cabernet with grilled meats.
