Sam Trimboli Bin Select Vermentino 2024
Big Rivers
Loading...
We first discovered winemaker Sam Trimboli in 1986, loved his wines and have been working with him ever since. He now has a winery of his own and has made us this terrific, zesty-fresh, lime-zipped Vermentino. A nod as well to his Italian heritage.

The Wine
Sam Trimboli made his first wine for us – Yarrunga Field – in 1986, hence the MCMLXXXVI on the label! The white was a terrific success and has become an all-time customer favourite. We have been delighted to work with Sam ever since. His family originally came from Calabria, Italy (his real name is Salvatore, not Sam!), and settled in Riverina, New South Wales, even today known as ‘Little Italy’. His Italian origins is also apparent in his choice of grapes – hence his passion for, among others, the Vermentino grape, as well as Trebbiano and Montepulciano. This white is pure Vermentino, fermented in untoasted oak and lees stirred to lend a lovely roundness. Chill down and enjoy on its own or with chargrilled chicken, spicy noodles or salmon.
