About
Spain is a major producer of olive oil and the largest within Europe. It's key to Spanish cuisine (and to its economy), especially tapas that go so well with many Spanish reds on our list. It's important too in paella, the home of which is Valencia. So enjoy a bottle from one of our favourite producers - Bodegas La Viña in Valencia. The olives are grown close to the winery – by those same small growers who supply grapes – 690 hectares of olive groves, cultivating Grosal, Changlot Real, Arbequina and Picual varieties. These are harvested, cold pressed and made into this green gold olive oil. Trickle over salads, chargrilled vegetables, baked mushrooms, pasta and the like. You can't beat a good bottle of olive oil to add a finishing touch.
