Orbit Beers Nico Koln Style Lager 2018
London

Named after, you've guessed it, the melancholy singer Nico, alias Christa Päfggen, who originated from Cologne, this is a superb, top-fermented lager. Herbal and hoppy, with lemon and green apple notes, and that distinctive bitter finish. Refreshing.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Beer
Orbit are the vinyl kings of brewing! Founder Robert Middleton is not only a craft beer fanatic, he has always loved records and Indie music too. Until 2014, he was a cold Stella lager man, then he gave up his big-bucks job in the city, and went travelling in his VW camper van around Scotland, so he could write a book. He visited every Scottish brewery along the way – from the most northerly isle of the Shetlands to the Outer Hebrides, down to those close to the border – and got to love real beer! He found two railway arches in SE London, converted a garage into a brewery and has been naming his beers after music icons ever since! His Nico Köln-style lager is fragrant, hoppy, lightly fruit, with a malty touch and a bitter twist finish.
