The Wine
Latricières-Chambertin is among Gevrey’s most distinguished Grand Crus – and in the hands of winemaker Nicolas Potel, it becomes a model of clarity and restraint. The 2020 vintage was shaped by low yields and ripe fruit, balanced by the site’s naturally cool exposure and mineral soils. This wine offers precise red fruit – cherry and wild raspberry – with floral top notes and a subtle earthy depth. The palate is taut and finely structured, with bright acidity, polished tannins and a long, composed finish. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in carefully selected oak, this is a Grand Cru with purity at its core. Best cellared for five years or more.
