This is a dazzling Marlborough Sauvignon from a hugely acclaimed, award winning winery. But even top estates occasionally have a vat or two surplus to requirements, be that due to a bumper harvest, a cancelled order, or the need to accommodate a new vintage. Either way, our Buyer Dan springs into action when such an opportunity arises. Under its normal label this super Sauvignon sells for a hefty premium (this vintage has already won a Gold medal), so to protect that position, we’re sworn to secrecy. But if you’re a Kiwi wine fan, you’ll recognise, from the gooseberry and tropical fruit aromas to the lime, guava and passion fruit flavours, that there is an intensity and purity here that you only find among Marlborough’s elite Sauvignons.
