The Wine
With many awards and a patchwork of vineyards throughout Burgundy to their name, the Drouhin family have a lot to be proud of. Their winemaking stretches back four generations, to when Joseph Drouhin moved to Beaune in 1880, purchased a vineyard and founded the business. Since then, each successive generation has sought to develop the estate, adding vineyards in a variety of enviable locations. The family’s village Burgundy is crafted with the same care and attention they use on all their wines. It includes parcels from Morey-St-Denis and Chambolle Musigny, all hand picked with gentle pressing and fermentation. Ageing in 20% new oak lends spice and structure. Open early, serve in large glasses to swirl and enjoy with chicken with girolles.
With many awards and a patchwork of vineyards throughout Burgundy to their name,
If you can afford it and can find some ... the 2021s are delicious. It's a classic year
