Islay Journey Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl in gift tube) NV

If you’re looking for an Islay malt, but you’re not sure which distillery to choose, opt for Islay Journey. It’s from highly respected blender and bottler Hunter Laing. They know it’s not easy to travel to Islay, so have made the journey for you! There they have worked with selected distilleries, to pick out the finest casks and create their own blend. This peaty, brackish malt was crafted by master blender Tom Aitken. Tom wanted to capture that distinctive Islay character that’s held in such high regard by whisky aficionados. So he selected the best barrels of Islay malt, some of which had previously held old bourbon, for a layer of sweetish vanilla notes. Powerfully aromatic and full of character, it makes a fine fireside dram.
