Vinho Regional Alentejano

We love the rich, weighty, big on fruit and spice reds that the great Casa Santos Lima estate makes. And judging by reviews, customers do too. Here's an exciting new release – Syrah, Touriga, Petit Verdot and Alicante blended and barrel aged.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

The Wine
Casa Santos Lima is a fifth generation estate that has led the way in Portugal since its foundation in the 19th century. Today, they are one of the most exciting in the country, winning easily 50 Golds a year. Winemaker there since 2013 is Diogo Sepulveda, who was one of the best students at university, then showed his talent in some of the world's finest cellars – in Pomerol, the Napa and the Barossa Valley. In 2016 he was awarded Best Young Winemaker at the prestigious W Awards. Fortissimo is a new release, a rare blend of native and international varieties that critic Robert Parker marks out for praise. Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Petit Verdot and Alicante, all barrel aged, the wine is rich, spicy and velvet smooth, with rounded tannins.
