The Wine
It’s the kind of story you see in the movies. In 2015, Nick and Lisa Kent were on holiday in the Languedoc. A part of France they’d always loved, for the people, the landscape and – of course – its wines. One afternoon, they popped in to this small domaine to taste its wines. Six months later, they had the keys. But this was not a romantic folly. Nick and Lisa both hail from corporate backgrounds so they had the foresight to retain the skills of head winemaker Vincent Maurel. Vincent’s been working here for the best part of 20 years, winning countless accolades for his tasty wines. To craft this Viognier, part of the wine is fermented in new French oak to add layers of toasty complexity. It’s great solo or with creamy chicken dishes.
