Bourgogne AOC
Loading...

We've long championed the great Burgundies of Domaine Jean Monnier, but this is new to our list. A superb Meursault-style white, very well priced too. It's from the exceptional 2020 vintage and here showcases both freshness and round, ample fruit.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
It's no surprise this 'simple' white Burgundy shows traits of fine Meursault. Domaine Jean Monnier has been based in this world-famous, much sought-after appellation since 1720 and, seven generations later, still makes glorious wines from there. We can't all afford Meursault every day, so we were delighted to be able to add this Côte d'Or cuvée from the estate. The grapes for all their wines are estate-grown, hand-harvested and crafted with great precision and care. Limestone soils and old vines add to the power and intensity of these elegant wines. Direct descendants Jean-Claude and Nicolas Monnier are today in charge and bring you this creamy, yet fresh peach white. Gently chill and serve with subtly flavoured fish or white meat dishes.

Lovely freshness, creamy peach weight, with balancing minerality. Fine and already very delicious
