The domaine dates back to 1587 and has been making knockout wines in Saint-Joseph for 400 years, and in Cornas next door since 1982. Today brothers Dominique and Laurent Courbis combine family tradition with a youthful energy and modern style. The result has been international recognition and some truly outstanding wines. Indeed, theirs are considered some of the most compelling examples of Saint-Joseph and Cornas today. This pure Syrah red from the excellent 2020 vintage shows off their exceptional winemaking skills. Silky, herbal black fruit, violets, grippy tannins and great length. A serious red to decant early and enjoy with lamb.
