De Martino Legado Pinot Noir 2017

A family domaine founded in 1934, De Martino is one of the most progressive and exciting names on the Chilean wine scene, (deservedly named Chilean Winery of the year in 2011). They specialise in using sustainable practices to produce wines noted for their purity and balance. They also match each grape to its optimum region. Their Legado is made from grapes selected from Limari's exceptional coastal vineyards, planted at 250m. It's from an excellent vintage too, even better perhaps than the 2015, awarded 95 Points by Decanter. With classic flavours of cherry, raspberry and roasted pepper and a floral spice note, this Pinot Noir has lovely intensity and length. Enjoy with salmon en croûte, roasted chicken, or wild mushroom risotto.
