The Wine
Crafted exclusively for us by our friends at Cave de Cébezan in the Languedoc, Clefs du Pontif is an expressive white wine. It’s from sun-drenched vineyards near the quiet town of Argeliers in southern France. Inspired by the magnificent white wines of the Rhône Valley, winemaker Marilyn Lasserre blends rich Marsanne with floral-scented Viognier – the grapes behind white Hermitage and white Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Marsanne adds weight, ripe stone fruit and depth, while Viognier lends aromatics and a hint of spice. The wine is aged on its lees, enhancing its creamy texture and roundness. Expect notes of apricot and white peach, layered with delicate blossom and a hint of cut grass on the finish. A superb match for grilled white meats or salads.
