Château Tour Haut Labrit 2020

Château Tour Haut Labrit is made at a small property run by the Fontaneau family in the great-value Entre-Deux-Mers region. Their vineyards are superbly located in Moulon, on the slopes leading down to the Dordogne river, directly opposite the prized Saint-Émilion appellation. For this versatile red, the team have added a touch of Cabernet Franc to Merlot, giving a ripe and juicy wine with a lovely floral freshness. It's from an exceptional vintage too, praised by all the critics: "Stunning wines have been produced in 2020" (Jancis Robinson MW), "Bordeaux has another terrific vintage on its hands” (Jeb Dunnock), "an outstanding quality level" (James Suckling). Soft and supple despite its youth, open early and pair with steak frites.
