Château Siaurac 2020
Lalande de Pomerol AOC
Loading...
From one of the finest vintages ever, this is a lush 92-point claret. It’s from a property “only separated from the first great growths of Pomerol by a tiny trickle of water called the Barbane” (Féret). Ample fruit and spice, this is a rich Bordeaux.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
One of Bordeaux’s smallest appellations, Pomerol only produces a small amount of claret each year and its wines are much in demand. You can imagine how that pushes up prices. Just across a stream from these great vineyards in better-value Lalande de Pomerol lies Château Siaurac. The property boasts 52 hectares of vines planted over 40 plots that, treated individually and carefully blended, make up its fine claret. For parcels not quite up to the Grand Vin, there is a second wine too, Plaisir de Siaurac. Grassing between rows, green harvesting, leaf thinning – all increase quality. From a 5-star vintage, this is an outstanding wine. With three years age, it’s still young, so will benefit from opening early and decanting. Drink now or cellar.
