Château Plantey de Lieujean Cuvée Jean-Jules Haut-Médoc 2014

We’ve just secured a parcel of the 2014 vintage Château Plantey de Lieujean Cuvée Jean-Jules from a fantastic property in the Haut-Médoc. You may not have heard of it before because it’s a small, family-run estate but it’s superbly located in the village of Saint Sauveur du Médoc – right next door to the famous vineyards of Pauillac. What’s particularly attractive about this claret is that it’s drinking at perfection with an elegance you’d normally associate with a much more expensive wine (like those in next-door Pauillac). Smooth and polished with silky black fruits and savoury spice, there’s no need for further cellaring - just open and enjoy.
