The hugely enthusiastic and always passionate Michel Chapoutier is one of the Rhône's most famous characters. Since he took control of this long-established firm in 1988, quality has soared. Chapoutier now produces the most diverse and complex wines to be found in the northern Rhône. They are particularly well-known for their remarkable Hermitage wines.
