The Wine
Cala Rey is the creation of Finca Fella in Castilla La Mancha. The winery was founded just in 2017, by Tomasso Ciampoli, who simply fell in love with the Alpera area and a particular 25-hectare plot of ancient vines. He decided then was the moment to revive the family's long held tradition of making wine. From the age of four, he'd help his grandfather craft a wine that was proudly drunk by the family at every celebration. Throughout his childhood, he had watched carefully to glean every secret there was and he's put his knowledge to use with this dazzling white. The vines are up to 100 years old, digging up to 20 metres deep to find nourishment. It all adds up to delicious, bright flavour. A zesty white that's perfect solo or with tapas.
