Ca' Bolani Frizzante Rosato NV

Like gelati or espresso, Prosecco is thoroughly Italian. The best are handcrafted by artisan producers like the Zonin family, winemakers since 1821. Ca’ Bolani rosato breaks the rules so cannot be labelled Prosecco. Nonetheless, it is 97% Prosecco (the grape) with a dash of Refosco for colour. We think it’s one of the most stylish pinks for your money you’ll find. The family’s estate lies in the premium region of Friuli, and to maximise quality every aspect of production is kept ‘in house’. Winemaker Marco Rabino favours the frizzante style – less fizzy than, say, Champagne, it’s light and zippy with refreshing hints of red pears and strawberries. Serve chilled it’s a great apéritif, and it's delicious too with gamberi rossi – red shrimps.
