The Wine
The Gabb family behind Journey’s End have been key in improving wine quality in South Africa for 30 years now. In 1996, they discovered a special plot in premium Somerset West and founded this estate. Just in 2010 they built a state of the art winery as well. Today they have prime vineyard plots surrounding the cellar, which enjoy an ocean cooled climate not dissimilar to Bordeaux, hence the fine quality of our Bees Knees Merlot. They also work with local growers to fulfil all their grape requirements (and are committed to improving local conditions and opportunities). Rigorous fruit selection and careful cool vinification have captured all the fruitiness of this tasty red. A great wine to enjoy on its own, or with chicken pie or sausages.
