The Wine
The Gabb family have been key in improving wine quality in South Africa for the last 30 years. In 1996, they discovered a special plot in premium Somerset West, overlooking False Bay, and founded an estate they called Journey’s End. Just in 2010 they built a state of the art winery as well. Today they have prime vineyard plots surrounding the cellar which enjoy an ocean cooled climate not dissimilar to Bordeaux, hence the fine quality of our Bees Knees Merlot. They also work with local growers to fulfil all their grape requirements. Rigorous fruit selection by winemaker Leon Esterhuizen and careful cool vinification have captured all the fruitiness of this tasty red. A great wine to enjoy on its own or to serve with a casual supper.
