Domaine du Clos Frantin Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Malconsorts 2017
Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru AOC

From this queen of Burgundy villages and a top producer, this is the apogee of Vosne Romanée and worthy of its 94 points. 2017 was a “lovely vintage north to south” (Julia Harding MW). Breathe in deep cherry, floral notes. A very polished wine.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

The Wine
Domaine du Clos Frantin is part of the Albert Bichot stable, the wines of which are characterised by their elegance and nuance – think of a ballerina. The wines feel effortless; the very essence of what Burgundy should be about. Not a wine to convert Shiraz drinkers to the joys of Pinot Noir, but certainly one to bring a smile to the face of many an existing Burgundy fan. This wine is not only from one of the great Premier Crus of this supreme appellation, it’s from a vintage praised across the board: “The 2017 reds are very good, often excellent, and from time to time bloody awesome” (Neal Martin, Wine Advocate). Seductively fruit-driven and charming with firm tannins, this fine red will benefit from being tucked away, if you can resist.
