The Wine
An exciting, one-off parcel of premium Aussie white from Padthaway – fruity, elegant and deliciously crisp. Padthaway is distinct for being only 8km wide and 62km in length, defined by its excellent loamy, terra rossa soil. Its name is aboriginal for 'good water'. That's not because of rainfall, there isn't much, but the plentiful water reserves that lie well below ground and the vines dig deep down for. With that and cooler temperatures from ocean breezes, Chardonnay, its top performing white variety, thrives. Citrusy, mineral crisp with light peach and pink grapefruit notes, this is a very refreshing white. Great to enjoy on its own, it'll also shine alongside richer dishes like chicken pie, prawn risotto or a spicy stir fry.
