The ever-smiling Federica Lauterio has made wine all across Italy and California, too. Peach Stone gains its luscious roundness from local speciality Grillo, the grape behind Sicily’s new breed of ultra fine (and expensive) whites. It’s also crackling with energy thanks to a generous dash of Sauvignon Blanc grown on the island’s higher slopes, where cool breezes produce pristine, pure tasting fruit.
