L’Épiphanie de Saint-Estèphe 2017
Saint-Estèphe AOC
Loading...
A very fine claret from one of Saint Estèphe’s two superb Second Growth estates. We can’t reveal the name, but both its 2009 and its 2010 have recently gained 100 Parker points. Elite Bordeaux with silky seductive fruit and structure for ageing.

The Wine
Opening a bottle from one of the finest properties in Bordeaux is a pleasure few of us can afford. L’Epiphanie gives you that chance at an affordable price too – a seductive, luscious fruit 2017 from one of just two Second Growth estates in the Haut-Médoc’s revered Saint Estèphe. Wines from here easily fetch £100 a bottle and two this century have already gained the perfect 100 Parker points. Our Bordeaux born Buyer, Jean-Marc Sauboua, was delighted to secure this fine red. Estate grown grapes, crafted by the same team in the same cellar – it was given a lighter touch of oak than the Grand Vin, which will make it an earlier drinker. Luscious cassis, plum and cherry with a hint of spice. Decant early or age in your cellar. A fine dinner red.
