Pinot Noir is hard to get right – especially outside its spiritual Burgundy home. But the cool, high altitude Eden Valley, where most of the grapes are from, is one of those perfect areas that’s not too hot, not too cool, and able to produce silky Pinot Noir with an intensity unmatched by most of its French counterparts. Of course, it doesn’t come cheaply, which is why we’re hugely excited to have found you this exclusive Pinot, and to be able to offer it for way below its true value. We can’t name the small family cellar but we can tell you it’s something of a star, popular with Pinot aficionados around the world. The wine packs a gentle punch of cherry, plum and spice and has a freshness that cries out for Peking duck or mushroom risotto.
