Listed among the top 100 wines in the South of France, Les Hauts de Morin-Langaran is a fine example of the Picpoul grape. Formerly used mainly for Vermouth, Picpoul’s enjoying a surge in popularity – it’s the new Pinot Grigio, only more interesting!
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

The Wine
Picpoul means ‘lip-stinger’ on account of this grape variety’s pristine mineral freshness – certainly an asset for a grape in the hot South of France. The grapes for this wine are grown around the salt lake the Etang de Thau, not far from the Cap d’Agde and close to the famous oyster beds of Bouzigues. Aired by salty sea breezes, they deliver unmistakable Mediterranean character. The result is a very well balanced wine with lots of ripe fruit and crisp zip. Look out for aromas of white flowers, lime zest, green pear and ripe melon flavours, beautifully balanced by a zesty edge and faintly salty tang. No wonder Picpoul is enjoying a renaissance in wine bars and restaurants both in France and in the UK. A perfect apéritif and seafood white.
