This fine Morgon cru is the result of a winning collaboration – a talented winemaker and a trusted négociant, with access to many top parcels of fruit. Pairing inside-out knowledge of the vineyards with exceptional winemaking, it combines the best of both worlds - hence Le Meilleur des 2 Mondes. The result is a grand expression of Beaujolais prized grape, Gamay. The key to all 10 Crus is their granite soils, and Morgon in particular is renowned for its high concentration of excellent blue-tinged granite and schist. No wonder this wine has such structure and length. Already with four years' age this cru Beaujolais has plenty of years in it left. Awarded 92-points, it has bright cherry fruit, silky tannins and freshness. Ideal with duck.
