Franck Châtelain has been making our customers delectable Loire whites at the Bougrier family estate since 1990. This is an exciting, easy-drinking new white. Colombard and Chenin, it’s deliciously aromatic with lively citrus and ripe peach fruit.

The Wine
Customers have long enjoyed the pure Chenin version of Le Fief du Temple from Franck Châtelain. With the 2021 and now 2022, he's slightly changed tempo and brings you his Colombard Chenin blend, crafted as always at the Bougrier's family estate in the Touraine. The result is a lively, fresh and fruity white, with attractive roundness and weight thanks to a few months resting on its lees. The Colombard portion, a grape rarely found in the Loire, brings the juicy green apple and ripe nectarine notes, while Chenin brings lively citrus hints that make this white so refreshing. A pure joy to drink. Le Fief clearly shows that the Loire offers much more than top Sauvignon. Enjoy this white with creamy chicken, grilled fish or spicy stir-fry.
