The Wine
Shiraz and Malbec are grapes we normally associate with Australia and Argentina. House of Fun shows just how delicious they are when grown in Cape sunshine. It’s from the Gabb family and their excellent, award-winning Journey's End winery in Stellenbosch which works with both sustainability and community very much in mind. They have been solar-powered since 2014 and Fairtrade since 2017. The grapes for this luscious red all hail from Swartland, a hot, dry region, north of Cape Town that has fast gained a reputation for quality. Some wines are all elegance and finesse, others like this red are packed full of fruit and fun. Enjoy this juicy, blackberry-filled red on its own, or with staples such as toad-in-the-hole, a rich casserole or pasta.
