English Quality Sparkling Wine

From 2019's UK Winery of the Year, this is a stunning, Brut Reserve from Henry Laithwaite's Marlow estate. The fizz is based on the 2018 vintage, using Champagne's classic grapes and the traditional method to make a rich, biscuity, creamy peach fizz.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

The Wine
“There is now widespread consensus that English sparkling wine is a world-class product” wrote Decanter. As usual, the Laithwaite family has led the way, firstly with Barbara’s award-winning Wyfold and now with Henry’s Harrow & Hope. Henry cut his winemaking teeth in Bordeaux and Oz, but in 2010 he and his wife, Kaye, returned to England and hatched a plan. They planted a 10-hectare vineyard on a chalky gravel slope in Marlow with Chardonnay and both Pinots, then built a new winery in 2013. Since then, they've won Winery of the Year 2019 and Best English NV Sparkling at Wine GB awards 2022. Using the same classic varieties and method as Champagne, with 20% oak-aged reserve wine and lees ageing for 40+ months, this is a classy Brut Reserve.
