Rhone’s 2021 vintage was not without its challenges, but with tireless work there are many successes. As critic Jeb Dunnuck says, ‘the wines show good ripeness and more elegant, medium-bodied profiles with solid character’. Yann Chave adheres to organic principles through all his vineyards, taking the Syrah grapes for this exceptional red from three plots in Crozes Hermitage - La Roche de Glun, Mercurol and Pont de l'Isère. Together these express the vintage, the terroir and the maker. Wild yeast fermentation with ageing in vat, this is a very pure red with black fruits and delicate sweet violet notes.
