The Wine
Ripened in Cape sunshine and cooled by coastal breezes, this is an expressive Pinot Noir with a show of Burgundian elegance. It’s from the Bosman family, whose history in South Africa goes back a phenomenal eight generations and over 300 years. First to arrive in South Africa, in 1707, was Hermanus Bosman, who brought with him medical, religious and legal know-how. He set the bar for all the family to come – to respect both the community and the land. In 2008 the Bosmans gave all of their 260 workers a share in the estate, thereby becoming Fairtrade. They’ve shown their love for the land by cultivating the finest vine stocks and today can boast 47 varieties. This Pinot Noir is from cooler sites, all hand picked and gently aged in barrel.
