A lavish, no-expense-spared Pomerol from the exceptional 2022 vintage. Crafted by Jean Claude Berrouet – the genius behind Château Pétrus for 44 years – this claret is opulent, rich on fruit with firm, yet silky tannins to enable it to age.

Revered wine critic, Robert Parker, writes: “Pomerol produces some of the most expensive, exhilarating and glamorous wines in the world.” Château Chantalouette is the second wine of Château de Sales and both have been owned by same family since 1464. Chantalouette is known for being a good value Pomerol, and the special project of Pomerol’s leading light, Christian Moueix. He brought in Gilles Rey (who also supervises at Mouton Rothschild) to mastermind the vineyards and Jean Claude Berrouet as consultant in the cellar. The wines of Chantalouette are supple and full bodied, good for early drinking, but will cellar well too. Decanter says: “quite serious but polished, fruit is clean and pure” and “this is a big broad wine but lots to enjoy”.

"A polished and refined 2022 with crushed stone and black olive skin. Lovely presence and finesse" James Suckling
