Bright, breezy and full of berry-forward charm, w/o Nerello Mascalese Rosato Spumante is a deliciously unique pink fizz from talented winemaker Dino Taschetta.
We first met Dino when he began restoring his grandfather's earthquake-struck vineyard, high in the Sicilian hills, to make our much-loved Tenuta Fenice. Not one to rest on his laurels, he began another ambitious new project called w/o – wine made without compromise. He started with a Frappato red and now he’s made this vibrant, lively sparkling rosé made from Sicily’s prized Nerello Mascalese grape.
Quite simply, Nerello Mascalese is Sicily’s top grape. It’s a silky, berry-fruited delight that is usually snapped up for serious (and seriously pricey) Etna reds. But Dino has managed to get his hands on a small parcel that he’s transformed into a vibrant pink fizz.
Bright and breezy, it captures Nerello Mascalese’s wild strawberry charm and subtle mineral freshness with a sparkling twist. Chill it down and enjoy it in the sunshine with a picnic and friends.
Plus, it comes in a gorgeous bottle made from 100% recycled glass, known as 'Wild Glass’. Each bottle is unique, with subtle imperfections and variations in hue.
