The Story Behind the Bottle
Glorious power and depth of flavour make this Cape Malbec a must for serious red wine lovers. It’s made by Bruce Jack who is one of a kind – a former ‘Winemaker of the Year’, he has a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm that he pours into his wines. Maybe that’s a result of him being struck by lightning when he was working in Bordeaux. This was after graduating with two English degrees and one in winemaking from Australia’s famous Roseworthy College. He then returned to South Africa and set up a cellar close to the coast. Bruce’s Malbec bears comparison with the very best from Argentina. Gently ripened, the grapes develop trademark violet and ripe blackberry aromas. Enjoy its spicy damson and bramble fruit with steak or a rich meaty stew.
