Then there’s Saracosa Governo, a Super Tuscan described as “hedonist’s heaven” by wine writer Oz Clarke. It’s crammed with intense black cherry flavours, mocha and spice, and is seductively smooth and warming. Lastly there’s Finca La Selva, a Gran Reserva Rioja with creamy red berry fruit, tobacco spice, vanilla and coconut … a wine of great structure, depth and complexity. Presented in a wooden box.
