Our Bordeaux-born buyer for this region, Jean-Marc Sauboua, knows a thing or two about high quality Bordeaux whites. He himself was trained at Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Haut-Brion and has won Trophies for Sauvignon Blanc. His uncle, Francis Courselle, was also a key player in modernising the style, so you could say it runs in the family. Jean-Marc was highly impressed by this bright, fresh white – it's pure Sauvignon Blanc, sourced from different prime sites throughout Bordeaux and carefully blended to obtain just the right balance of ripeness, elegance and citrusy grip. Chill down and serve as a sophisticated apéritif, or as a partner to flatter dishes of grilled fish, a fennel risotto perhaps or a warm goat's cheese and pear salad.
