Flavour Profile
Les Armes des Princes has been made to mark the centenary of Celliers des Princes, one of the best-loved Rhône cellars and a driving force in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
It’s made from Grenache (70%), Syrah, Caladoc and Carignan grown mostly in Principauté d’Orange, whose vineyards are right next to those of Châteauneuf. And to make this red extra special, winemaker Thierry Ferlay selected a portion of fruit from within Châteauneuf-du-Pape itself. He then gave this the kind of kid-glove treatment that’s normally reserved for the cellar’s way-more-expensive Châteauneuf-du-Pape releases.
