Le XV du Président Réserve 2019

For over 30 years Le XV du Président has delighted fans with its velvet smoothness, decadent richness and sheer generosity of flavour. Originally made by the rugby mad bunch in South West France, its beating heart has always been luscious old vine Grenache, packed with dark red fruits, jammy ripeness and lashings of spice. To celebrate decades of 5-star fandom, our very own Mark Hoddy teamed up with Vincent Gourdon, the man behind the original XV, and so respected in southern France’s Roussillon that fellow winemakers call him Obi Wine Kenobi! To make a deluxe edition of the original King of the Big Reds they added a wild herb, black fruit Syrah to a parcel of century old vine Grenache grapes. Dense and warming, served with hearty dishes.
